One thing I didn’t expect at all was that some designers would actually start spending their time designing me stuff. Well, I got served pretty good. Not only one, but two designers delivered me a very special gift in the same week.

I mentioned them before but I thought it deserved a post on their own, just to state on how much I felt honored by the gesture. Those lovelies actually spent HOURS of their precious time making this for lil old me? OK girls. You got me. I’m falling on my ass.

Beware, you peepz know I certainly don’t pretend to be anything like a fashionista or fashion blogger. So in a blocky fashion, here is a bit more about those incredible outfits, with pictures of myself modelling them, and stuff.

Codie’s Gown - From Nuclear Boutique

Sasy Scarborough introduced me to Arikinui Adria (AKA Ari), and in the first instant I talked to this adorable woman, I was charmed. It didn’t take long before I invited her to Boudoir Rouge, because her name means sophistication and beauty and sexy.

One night she totally blew my mind when I saw that item drop into my inventory. I saw the name and I was like, no fucking way! And I put it on and it was perfection.

I have a HARD time finding fitting system skirts, mainly because some designers don’t check their skirts on larger avatars, and they put the texture topping too low. Result is I end up with a ring of emptiness around the waist. Not with this one, it is a perfect fit.

Fluffy prims are attached on shins, making it hugging the legs pretty nicely. Very elegant soirée gown, probably one of the best I own. Honnest! Tho I admit there may be a bit of favoritism, I let you be the judges.

How an amazing gift Roxette Wise made me for the Boudoir Rouge launch party. This 4 variation set of lingerie with corset is nothing short of amazing. I sure own a few lingerie sets, and this is one of the good ones. And well, the color scheme is so me

This 40 poses set has been custom designed for the Boudoir Rouge photo series created by artist and photographer CodeBastard Redgrave.

They have been created by Alexx Markova on special order. 40 new poses have been custom made by Alexx for the remaining of the Boudoir Rouge series. This set focuses mainly on back shot poses, lingerie and intimate poses, as well as more classic pinup and boudoir style poses.

One important thing about those poses is they have been created and ajusted to fit my own avatar shape which is more curvy than the average woman shapes, making them fit for the round women as well as thinner ones.

I throughly reviewed, tested and made correction requests to avoid any limb or finger collision, cause as little articulation deformation as possible, and minimize clothing glitches as much as possible. With such tough revision cycle, I wanted to insure that I would have poses which requires less postprocessing.

This poseset is the product of a close collaboration with Alexx Markova and myself for all aspects of the process. Alexx did the all the execution and I helped him review and correct the poses for better photography usage. Of course I’m proud of having the opportunity to bring you this very special poseset.

I really hope you will enjoy those poses as much as I enjoyed working with them.

*drumroll!* Sorry for lagging that much, I was too busy to do a decent post announcing the winners for the Boudoir Rouge Photo Contest. Let me first say that this was for fun. And I had a lot of fun. And I was flattered and honored by every submission to this contest. Being your model was symbolically very important to me, it really honored me greatly to have you all doing that for me.

This said, one reason why I hate contests, is that I cannot make everybody win. I was tempted to take the whole L$12000 and split it in 10 parts and shower everyone. But as every contest, the point was to try to encourage talent. To those who didn’t make the cut, don’t feel left out, your work was all so nice it was very painful to have to choose just a few ones. It was in fact so painful that I added a 5th winner and ended up in a split that made me add L$1000 in prize money.

So, in reverse orders, the winners are:

5th PLACE: TIE (L$1000 each) - Jacek Antonelli and Harper Beresford

Jacek’s entry is awesome and got very little processing, all lighting and angles are from inworld lighting, and I like the portrait cut.

Harper’s an awesome inworld photographer. She may not postprocess but she definitely have much talent. The lighting, angle and framing are just perfect. Very good job.

4th PLACE: L$2000 - Cicciuzzo Gausman

I would have favored a larger format for this submission but never mind, it does look awesome. The hazy treatment, the lighting, the angle, the motion blur, the atmospheric is awesome.

3rd PLACE: L$2500 - Vint Falken

I mean…. XD…. Do I really have to comment? Hilarious, charming, flattering. Vint actually never took any studio pictures of me, it’s good if she took one single picture of me ever apart that. But her entry into the matter is spectacular, as she is. When I saw that shot, I laughed for the whole day. I ♥♥♥ that girl.

2nd PLACE: L$2500 - Elease Graves

This is actually my desktop wallpaper. Stunning. The treatment is awesome, and the mix with illustration too. I just want to lick it. Elease always impressed me and she just keeps getting better and better.

1st PLACE: L$5000 - Mylena Aquitaine

Gosh girl! That kicks ass. The whole 4 picture set is outstanding. The lighting, soft ambiance, but especially the angles and her choice to do what I cannot do with Boudoir Rouge, use framings where we cannot see the faces. But she dares doing it, and with delicious results. I picked this one as my favorite but each of them submitted were pure delight. You deserve that 5K up hand Mylena.

This was for me the whole point of it, inverting the role I played as the photographer behind Boudoir Rouge, and making myself feel like a worthy model. The opening was a very great success and an absolute delight to me, despite the Lindens having DB issues, overall that was probably the best event I have ever thrown at Code Red. Everyone was delightful and so sweet. This is a party I will always remember. Thanks to everyone that made this event possible. The sim was jam packed full all the time of the event, for the first 4 hours it was very hard to get in, my sim being a Mainland sim, we had 40 avatars in most of the time. The contest went awesome too, apart asset servers not collaborating at the beginning and preventing me from wearing other props, for the remaining time it went okay.

I would ♥♥♥ to thank Amanda for playing the insane tunes, you girl rawked! I would like to thank Anna Tretiak again for providing the Photostage system for the contest. I want to thank Tesla so much too for providing an extra 2000L I will give out to a 4th photo contest winner and she also gave a free pair of shooz to every invitee. I would also like to thanks Bettina Tizzy of NPIRL very warmly for featuring me on a very elogious article and for spamming her group.

Also, a very special thank you to Roxette Wise, who blew my mind by giving me a copy of a new lingerie set she made and named after my humble self! Another key moment of my night was to have the rare occasion to see and chat with my dear Vint Falken, who was not in a very good mood to start with. But that filled my heart with joy when she told me that she was smiling before going to bed. I’m just so glad I could cheer her up a little, I felt really touched I could be helpful to her, her that is so dear to me. Vint, extra big huggles to you sweetheart. I’m always there if you need me. That was so sweet, and heartwarming to see you all there, I’m speechless of the turnout, and of the honor you all made me. You people prove to me every time how deeply caring, admirable, and good friends you are. Thanks for supporting me and my work, especially in the worse times. I feel so deeply honored to know and be cared for by people of your quality. I highly appreciate, and humbly bow to your greatness. All of you talented and lovely friends, you mean everything to me. Sunday 30th of March at 11AM SLT, I will have the pleasure to be your host for the Grand Boudoir Rouge collection opening. DJ Amanda Shinji will be entertaining our guests and many surprises and gifts will punctuate the party, it promises to be kind of epic.

There will be over 20 exclusive pieces for sale during the party. Those special pieces will be sold in one unique exemplary, with copy and mod permissions, allowing the new owner to copy it and also resize it very large. Once they are gone, they are gone. I am not going to sell other copies with the same permissions. The other copies will be of fixed sized so those exclusives are one chance to get the portrait you want and be able to resize it the way you want.

The contest should start 1h after the beginning of the party. All pieces must be submitted via Flickr and posted to the Codie’s Redhawtness fangroup. I will then choose the 3 winners and give 5000L to the first winner, and 2500L to each 2nd and 3rd winners. People will have until Monday 30th at 9PM SLT to submit their work.
During the contest, photographers should try and do quickly to allow others the chance to participate. There is no rules apart I must stay on place. You can provide clothes and dress me up like you want, or I can dress from my large inventory, or you can pose me nude. You can make me take the poses you want, as long as you can transfer it to me and I can put it in the posestand.

Code Red Lounge SLURL

I’m very proud to announce the grand opening of the Boudoir Rouge exposition at Code Red Gallery, Sunday March 30th at 11AM SLT. Amanda Shinji will DJ to rock the place and many little activities and prizes and surprises will be offered during the party.

To celebrate the opening of that most special of series, I had the idea of playing role inversion. On that day, I will be available for a straight 3h, standing on a posestand and available to anyone as a model. I will provide poses, dress up like you want for the shot, you will be the photographer and I will be your piece of clay.

You will then be able to post the pictures into a special Flickr group. I will select 3 winners, first winner will get L$5000 and second/third winners will get L$2500 each.

Theme of the night: red lingerie. Guys can come in red boxers. Lingerie is not mandatory, if your uncomfortable to hang in your undies, wear something red.

The event will be happening at Code Red Lounge / Gallery. Bring your friends!
