What is Boudoir Rouge?

The Boudoir Rouge series as an ode to beauty of all the great ladies of the metaverse, mostly those who influenced my SecondLife. This serie portrays women avatars I admire greatly because they are all smart, creative, and lovely. Boudoir Rouge is not a who’s who of SecondLife’s most popular girls; it is a very intimate and personal road I’m following. Sometimes meeting with people I never met before, or sometimes they are good old friends who had a huge impact on my own second life, and some other times its people that inspires not only my own SecondLife but your own too.

You may or may not know some of the ladies presented in that matter, but that doesn’t matter to me. The Boudoir Rouge series is, before anything, meant to honor and thank the women that supported, helped, influenced and inspired me throughout my evolution in this metaverse.

Boudoir Rouge technical overview

• 6000×4000 pixels resolution
• Captured using the Windlights SecondLife viewer
• Each shot weights approximately 70Mb
• 1 shot per model
• Pitch black background
• Each shot post processed using Photoshop CS3 for Windows
• Postprocessing: Liquify, Heal, Diffuse Glow, Levels
• 4x Antialiasing

Can I participate in the Boudoir Rouge project?

Due to a high number of requests for new shoots for people on the Boudoir Rouge Hitlist, I must close the pool for right now, but I will waitlist any new requests for a photoshoot. I cannot guarantee you getting a photosession either. The Boudoir Rouge project does not have a maximum count for now. But realistically, once the Hitlist is done, I will probably want to slow down and just select a few people among those who submitted requests to close the series.

If you want to participate in the series, send me an notecard inworld entitled Boudoir Rouge - (your name). In the notecard please including a few details about your SecondLife. Interests, realizations, projects, stores, any info that could be useful to me in the selection.

The Boudoir Rouge Guidelines

If you are scheduled for a shoot at the studio, please follow the following guidelines.

• anthropomorphic female avatars only
• classic tasteful pinup / boudoir style shoot
• to wear: lingerie, stockings, garters, corset, good quality high heels
• if you do not have good enough clothing, it will be provided to you for free
• short hair or updo, no hanging prims
• wear no facelight
• wear no animation overriders (AO)
• wear SOMETHING red, anything. could be only the lips or the full clothing, or any accessory, your choice.
• i am shooting on a black background so please no pitch black clothing
• you can use props: fans, flowers, cigarette holder

Poses

All poses were provided by different vendors, often for free. I also ordered 40 custom poses specifically inspired from boudoir and pinup styles. All the poses were evaluated, the unusable, unrelated, or “defective” ones deleted from the posestand. What remains is a very decent mix of good poses.

• Alexx Markova custom designed a special Boudoir Rouge pose series containing 40 poses, which will soon be released for sale
• Alexx Markova also provided the first bunch of poses for free
• Ana Lutetia provided a huge set of very good poses, probably around 80 poses
• Melanie Kidd asked one of her friends, Natasha Northolt, to provide me with another huge bunch of very decent poses named Poseur
• inspired from Boudoir Rouge, Nyla Rossini from Vain Inc. created a set of 10 boudoir poses and graciously donated a pack
