Flickr Saga continues! Flickr accused of censorship, yet again.

Flickr, My Second Life, Photoshoots — CodeBastard Redgrave on June 14, 2007 at 10:22 pm

I was not really surprised to see a wave of protestation going on Flickr, since all the problems I had with them censoring my work in the past, I hoped this matter was resolved with their new rating system. Seems this is another issue this time that all german users seems to have. Extracted from Marquez Tone’s Flickr Stream:

“If your Yahoo! ID is based in Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong or Korea you will only be able to view safe content based on your local Terms of Service so won’t be able to turn SafeSearch off. In other words that means, that german users (like me) can not access photos on flickr that are not flaged “safe” … only flowers and landscapes for the germans … We will not let this happen! Copy and upload the picture below (the link) to your account - show flickr who we are! Thank you!

No Flicr Censorship for Germans!

[...] Relatively to my last post about Flickr censoring german users from viewing mature contents, I decided to release 2 of my Dramavatar Mood Shirts in a special package to support our german Flickr friends. The 3 shirt package is only 5L$ on SLExchange.Com and can be used to show your opposition to Flickr censorship of german users, with a humorous twist. [...]
